From commercials, music videos, narrative story telling, to photography, we do it all. Our team consists of three person crews: a part 107 certified FAA licensed pilot, a camera gimbal operator, and an image technician / visual observer. Aerials LA carries its own aviation liability insurance and can help productions navigate step by step film permitting, flight authorization, and more; making sure that everything is safe, legal, and smooth from take off to landing. 01. FAA 107 Pilot
The most important part of an aerial operation is the FAA pilot, ensuring safety. Our crews will always come with a certified 107 pilot to operate the flight and procedure of the aerial shoot.
02. Camera Op
What separates profesional aerial imagery work from hobbyist is the use of professional cameras, gimbals, and knowledge in cinematography. Our crews have that knowledge and our camera operator in communication with our pilot will be focused on achieving the look you are after.
03. DIT – V/O
Along with our pilot and cam op, comes our third member, the Digital Image Technician and Visual Observer. This crew member is also trained in the profession of cinematography making sure all settings are correct before and after take off as well as keeping the production and unmanned aircraft safe at all times.

Aerials LA comes not only fully equipped with all the tools you need to make your aerial shots, we also have our own aviation liability insurance.
ATC + Film Permitting
We’re familiar with the preproduction process that requires planning and paperwork. We are ready to help every step of the way, from location scouting, film permitting, to getting permission to fly in controlled airspace.
